My [almost?] Cheese-less Lent

Did I survive 40 days without eating cheese?

Hell no. Did I try? Hell yes. The first time I ate cheese after Lent had started was a complete accident. I had gone through a drive-thru [which I very rarely do] and had ordered a sandwich forgetting it had cheese. It wasn’t until Tim and I had gotten home did I remember that my sandwich had melted cheese on it, and we didn’t just pay $6 for a sandwich for me to not eat it. So I ate it. And yes it was good. I ate cheese a few more times, but I was able to keep the amount small enough to where I only need my two hands to count.

For next year I’m thinking about something harder…like anything that has high fructose corn syrup. Now, that would be really hard…but so rewarding.
